I've been us...Ajooja - I kind of like that method. I've been using OPS as a statistical tool since my fried Peter introduced it to me over 15 years ago. It doesn't factor defense or speed, but any intelligent analyst could solve that by using Runs Created or something similar. It disqualifies pitchers, but I have no problem with that. It didn't matter if someone else had a better season or anything else, that's how it was.<BR/><BR/>I hated that at the time -- when I was a big NBA fan -- but it kind of makes sense. At least the sportswriters all kind of did the same thing.<BR/><BR/>Now, voting for the MVP in every league is crazy.<BR/><BR/>Personally, I'd like to give it to the guy with the highest OPS out of all the players on playoff teams, but that's just me.
