Pizza, pizza, pizza

After an exhaustive search that involved not really trying at all, we've decided that we have finally found the best pizza in NYC.

John's of Bleecker Street. Thin and delicious brick oven pizza right across the street from one of the best taprooms in the city. We like the large pie with extra sauce.

And I'm sure that all of you who live elsewhere couldn't really give a rat's ass.

Oh, hey...here is something you might like. Remember that stupid commercial with Kobe, A-Rod, Michael Phelps and Tony Hawk that I showed y'all the other day? Well, Heidi Klum also does a version of it. And it is much, much, much better. In my opinion, of course.

Enjoy!

Ugh. That is so sexist. Bitch. Not you. Heidi.

Faiqa - I didn't notice anything sexist at all about John's Pizza. Nothing at all.

Holy pepperoni, that's some hot pizza!

Heidi sexist? Don't you mean sex-y? Way better than the other one.

I love pizza. I've done pizza reviews in the past and I'm still getting hits on my reviews of Las Vegas Pizza.

This is not rocket science. Heidi could recite the alphabet in a black bra and men bloggers from all walks of life would still consider it a postable entity. Duh.

Verdant Earl said...

Holly - Well, almost naked.

Steph - see how well they go together? :)

Poopie - Leagues ahead of the other one.

Zibbs - Pizza is such a regional thing. It tastes different everywhere you go. I happen to think NY/LI pizza is the best, but I'm biased. How is it in West Chester?

Candy - Wait...you have a video of Heidi Klum reciting the alphabet in a lacy black bra? Gimme, gimme, gimme...

I don't see the attraction of a pizza joint across the street from one of the best tampons in New York...? Or do I need coffee?

On another note: My "bucket list" includes a stop at Papaya King. I don't know when I'm going to be able to do that. Could you please go there once and post about it please so I can live vicariously through you? Thanking you in advance... yours truly... RW

RW - Lots of coffee. I keep forgetting to tell you that I finally tried absinthe a couple of weeks ago. Well, I briefly mentioned my encounter on a random post here...

And go to Papaya King just once?!? I go just about every time I am in the city, my man. Best hot dogs in the world!

Suzi Q said...

I care about anything having to do with food! I'm adding that pizza place to my travler's to do list. Maybe one day I'll stop by and enjoy the goodness.

RW said...

I missed the absinthe reference! Sorry! I'm a bad reader some days. But I'm serious about Papaya King. I want to go there once before I die.Slight correction - best New York style hot dog. Ahem...

1st: I dislike brick over pizza

2nd: you sir, are a prick. I was going to show the heidi video in tomorrows post. Now you have to come up with something else for me to talk about...

Verdant Earl said...

RW - I concur. I actually love Chicago-style dogs with the pickle, peppers, onions, relish, tomato slices, etc... on a poppy seed bun. Delicious!

Slyde - But I had a theme going on with the previous video. Don't hate me because I'm more topical than you.

Oh, the pizza sounds good! Now I want some for dinner tonight.

Oh Heidi is way better than that last commercial. She doesn't look like a dork.

i have a hard time imagining that Heidi Klum would EVER wear white tube socks...

still, a nice piece of eye candy. thanks.

Verdant Earl said...

Teeni - pizza and Klum. The two great tastes that taste great together.

Diva - Why is that? She seems like a regular gal. ;)

Seriously, dude!!! GO!! It's good!!! I promise i won't be waiting there for you. I only go about once a month for some odd reason!!!

Michelle - Haven't heard of that one. Nice!

Best pizza in Tulsa: Salami Pizza from Hideaway.

Possibly the best pizza I have ever had. The trick is that they use the thin salami that goes on sandwiches, and when it gets cooked up it is sort of like pepperoni but way better.

You need to seriously considering finding a better way to host these videos. Linking them from YouTube means that half your readers can see this stuff.

...and I like my pizza with extra cheese......because a human can never have enough cheesy goodness.

Speaking of pizza, do you think Heidi likes the sausage?

kiki said...

i love heidi so much

how seal got her is beyond me

Verdant Earl said...

Ookami - That does sound tasty!

Bruce - You should seriously consider reading blogs at home rather than at work. That way you can see everything you want to see. Like how I turned that around? ;)

WLC - She likes Seal's sausage.

Kiki - See?

Hey! I just realized that I didn't have you on my blogroll. I'm such a douche.

Verdant Earl said...

Joe - Hey, no problem man! I don't think you are mine either, but you are definitely on my feed-reader. :)

Pizza, Heidi Klum, mild nudity and guitar solos.

I'm in heaven.

Heidi Klum should win an advertising award for that.

More like "heidi klum in my pants when I saw that!"

Always nice to have a great local pizza place. I will have to try that place next time I'm in NYC.

And that Guitar Hero commercial. Very nice. They recreated the Risky Business set very well.
