Two movies...

...that I would like to hear your thoughts on. For those of you that have seen them, of course.

Eagle vs Shark - For a lot of it, it seemed to be the Kiwi version of Napolean Dynamite. Yet there was a sweetness and a distant hilarity to it that I thought the other missed out on. For me, at least. Fans of The Flight of the Conchords should love it.

Funny Games - I saw the English language version with Naomi Watts, Michael Pitt and Tim Roth. Not that it matters. I understand the director did a shot by shot remake of his original German language version of it. I have mixed feelings about it. I wanna say it was brilliant, but I also wanna say that I was bored to tears.

Have you seen either?

Haven't seen either, although I had heard good things about the former.

Anything with Tim Roth in it makes it instantly watchable. I've seen it twice, but enjoyed it more the 2nd time around.

Hey - I've seen both - Thought eagle vs shark was disappointing, cuz, well I expected more... still enjoyed it though..

Funny games, saw both - english and german (and i speak german) - the german version is MUCH more disturbing... I think it might have to do with the dialogue.. But yeah, the english one was a little dry...

Avitable - it was quirky goodness. But I can see where some might not like it.

Bastard - I think I might like it a 2nd time...knowing all the twists and weird stuff.

Michelle - Happy Super Monday to you as well.

Zig - was the dialogue different? Or just the inflection?

I haven't seen either but did see the 3d Valentine's day movie which was very, very weak.

The dude playing the sheffif was so bad I was laughing. 3D was pretty cool though.

nope.

Nope, I'm out too!

Slyde - you might enjoy Funny Games.

Zibbs - the 3D is the only reason to watch that film. Made it fun.

Faiqa & Candy - Eagle vs Shark was cute.

i thought Eagle vs Shark was great. i just loved the actress, she was so adorably cute. Jemaine was good, and the fight scene was awesome. But my fave part was when she picks her video game name: "Dangerous Person" - brilliant.

Haven't seen either, so my comment is worthless, as normal.

oh and Earl, you'll be happy to know that i watched "The Big Lebowski" this weekend for the *first* time and thought it was AWESOME! by *first* i mean first time sober. I remembered exactly zero things from the first time i watched it in college. lol.

Ookami - especially if you like the show or movies like Nap Dyno.

Diva - I thought she was clearly the best part of the movie and I'm surprised she hasn't had more work. She is the real-life girlfriend of the director/writer.

Heff - always appreciated, nonetheless.

Diva - it's not just my favorite movie for any ole reason. I actually didn't enjoy it the first time I saw it. But it grew on my like a fungus.
