Guilty Pleasure

I know it's wrong on so many levels.

I know that violence is wrong.

And I know that violence against women is especially reprehensible.

But I can't stop looking at it.

I can't stop smiling at it.

Maybe it's that stupid fucking Ed Hardy hat flying off of her little guidette head.

Maybe it's the chubby guy in the middle who gets tagged at the same time.

Maybe it's the demonic look on the guy's face as he his punching her.

Like he had heard it all too often and it was enough.

Yet, I still feel guilty for watching this .gif file over and over and over again.

And in my head, I hear Chris Rock talking about OJ Simpson.  "Now, I'm not saying he shoulda killed the bitch....but I undertand!!!"

Disclaimer: No Jersey Shore guidettes were hurt in the making of this post.  I mean, I guess one of them got hurt in the filming of that episode.  But since she was hurt already I guess that makes it okay.  Right?  No?  Crap!  Oh, and the guy who punched that little awful guidette was immediately arrested.  Consequences, people.  Consequences.

A tricky subject to comment on and expect dinner on the table tonight, but.... what I will say is that the punch was somewhat stinted due to the face of the little fella catching the force on the way through.

The look on his face tells a a tale of its own as the red mist descends.

You are the tenth person to mention this show and its outlandishness! Feel very special...because of your clip, I actually went and put it on my Tivo Season Pass Manager! ;)

i'm dying to know what that broad was bitching about that made him lose his shit and clock her.

Jimmy - My woman enjoyed the clip even more than I did, so...

Hilly - Oh, the show is awful. Like a train wreck, but you can't stop looking at it. I may feel special now, but you are gonna hate me for it soon.

Becky - Apparently it really wasn't her fault. The dude was wacked out drunk and the bouncers had already tried to throw him out when he stole her drink. That's why she was yelling at him. I think. It's a teaser clip for something that happens later this year.

I thought I was up on all shows "reality".. but what the hell is this?? And yeah, the clip is hypnotizing..

Am I the only one that remembers a channel that played music videos?

This is exactly the type of filth that is confusing our children, and compromising our family values. If this young lady was at home reading the bible, she could have avoided such conflict. Christ has died, Christ has risen, Christ will come again. Praise Him.

Peace be with you.

Kate - this is MTV's "Jersey Shore". A Real World-esque show with guidos!

Doggie - you turned me right around on the whole religion thing you did right there. No wait...you didn't.

Looks painful to me!
I just heard about this show from The Today show yesterday. I think I'm gonna have to check it out. Guidos and guidettes. Huh.

I don't get it. What's fun about seeing someone--anyone--get punched in the face?

All women should take a proper beating.

Dr Zibbs said...

Yeah. Hard to look away.

Mrs. Hall said...

well, despite the fact that this is from some show featuring douchebags in ed hardy hats with low morals, no sense of dignity/ decensy or ability to regulate their alcohol intake

This is still a woman getting punched really hard by a guy 4 times her size.

so no

not funny.

Verdant Earl said...

Holly - Humbug!

Sybil - both the punch and the show are painful, but I can't stop watching.

Steph - It's not funny. I don't know what it is. And I feel guilty about watching it. I guess it has something to do with how awful all the people involved are.

Mr. Ferro - So you are proud of your boy, eh? I hear he is the pride of the Queens High School Teacher's Fraternity.

Zibbs - Hypnotic.

Holly - Agreed. And yet...

The whole thing is, you really don't know these people. Sure they are MOST LIKELY shallow and have zero productive citizen value but

it's not like there are a bunch of nazis, just stupid young 'ens. We are all stupid at that age. we all have uniforms we wear, they just happen to wear the ed hardies. that is not excuse for clocking the girl though. and

again, the girl is getting her face bashed in. not good.

Verdant Earl said...

Holly - Once again, I agree with everything you are saying. And yet...

Tiger Woods said...

Thank you douchebag.

Verdant Earl said...

Tiger - C'mon...this is just a blip on the radar. No way this distracts from the REAL tabloid feel good story of the Holiday Season. But thanks for stopping by man. ;)

A gym teacher from Queens. His dad said MTV instigated. His students are mixed on him being a good guy vs. having a nasty temper.

Or, I should say, his FORMER students. Got canned for the clip.

Verdant Earl said...

Poppy - Word.

Artful Kisser said...

Dunno what the show is. Dunno the significance of the cap. Watching this I'm intrigued as to what all the other douchebags do afterwards. Probably stand around like fucktards praising the alpha douchebag. Tone's pretty low already so will just ask why don't all these guys cut out the middle woman and just suck each other off already????

Sorry, not hynotic. But yes, interested in what the aftermath was.

Verdant Earl said...

AK - Well, the girl that got tagged was part of the show, not the guy. She wasn't injured too badly, but the asshole got arrested and kinda lost his job as a teacher.

elizabeth said...

dude... after all this time i was expecting... not this ;-) Though I must admit there is this one woman i'd LOVE to punch like that. no shit.

how's things?

Verdant Earl said...

Newly Married American Liz - Heya! How's life in the South treatin' ya?

I think it's hysterical. People getting punched in the face is almost always funny, especially when it's random like that.

I'm sure she was fine, and as long as it wasn't in a setting of domestic abuse, I'm okay with laughing at it.

Bruce Johnson said...

Wrong, wrong, wrong....this is sooo wrong, you should hit a woman......that said, I have fantisized doing this to sooo many women in the past.....women who really deserved it, so in that respect, thanks for helping me live out that fantasy.

While you can't condon domestic violence, you have to also realize that it is the best deterent to bad behavior in women. She isn't likely to bitch at a guy in bar again. Ever...which is probably a good thing.

Verdant Earl said...

Bruce - in this case she was probably not deserving of a smackdown. He was redonk drunk and he was told by the bouncers not to drink anymore (don't know why they didn't throw him out), and he had just stolen her drink. So he's a douche.
