UPDATED Fall TV schedule

Wow, I've been cutting heads seriously this year. TV is going through an "everything sucks" phase for me. Here's a brief rundown of everything I've dropped so far this year.

Monday
  • How I Met Your Mother (CBS 8:00 PM) - Done.  I finally fucking done with this show.  I absolutely HATE Ted!  He is, without a doubt, the worst television character I've ever come across.  And it's a shame.  Because Neil Patrick Harris and the rest of the crew are doing some fine work.  But Ted Mosby sucks.  It was like ripping off a band-aid, but I'm glad I did it.  Fuck this show!
  • The Event (NBC 9:00 PM) - Holy crap, was this boring!  I don't care about the event, I don't care about the characters, I don't care about anything with this show.  It's awful.  Truly awful.  And a total waste of my time.  Good bye.
  • Hawaii Five-O (CBS 10:00 PM) - I didn't hate this show.  In fact, I kinda liked it.  But it was all just pretty window dressing.  Buh-bye!
Tuesday
  • Glee (FOX 8:00 PM) - I know there are fans.  God knows, I know there are fans.  But I just don't get it.  Did you know that the cast of Glee just passed The Beatles for most hits in the Billboard Top 100 by a musical group?  Yeah.  So here's my ice-cold slushy to the face, Glee.  Bye!
Wednesday
  • Terriers (FX 10:00 PM) - Here's another show that I kinda liked, but I just couldn't get into.  The leads were engaging, as was the storyline.  I guess it was just new TV overload for me.  I may watch this one when it shows up on NetFlix Instant.
Thursday - here we go...
  • Shit My Dad Says (CBS 8:30 PM) - Sofa King Awful!  It was so unlike the Twitter feed that it supposedly was adapted from.  I see almost no evidence of that.  And Shatner shat the bed with this role.  Low point?  The Shat doing a karaoke version of "I'm Too Sexy".  See ya!
Friday
  • BlueBloods (CBS 10:00 PM) - I didn't really even give this one a shot.  It was okay.  And the fact that is was shot on location in NYC was a plus.  But ultimately it seemed like just another CBS soap opera.  I cut it loose before it had a chance to sink in.
Saturday
  • Saturday Night Live (NBC 11:30 PM)- YES, YES, YES!!!  I've finally been able to delete this albatross around my neck from my DVR!  Relax...I still kinda watch it.  But now it's on NetFlix Instant a couple of days after it premieres.  And since I live on the Internet, I already know which skits to watch and which ones to FF through.  So bye-bye Mrs. American Pie!  It was nice knowing ya!
That's an extra 7 1/2 hours of time I can spend each week catching up on Veronica Mars!  Sweet!

Yeah, we match up pretty good on this. I gave up on HIMYM a couple of years ago, and I pretty much stopped on Glee after the first half of last season.
Bingo on The Event and Shit My Dad Says...I'm almost angry at myself for even watching Shit My Dad Says...Deep down, I just KNEW it would suck, but something made me watch it anyway.

Paticus - SMDS is really the worst that major broadcast television has to offer. I saw a random episode of Two and a Half Men a while back that was funnier. And THAT might be the all-time least funny sitcom ever created.

wow, i didnt think you would ever give up on how i met your mother.

and im happy to report that i watch NONE of these, except SNL, which for some reason i will watch to my grave....

I think the only reason I still watch SNL is because I can TiVO it, and then watch it in about 12 minutes on Sunday morning.Every once in awhile there will be something i really find funny, like the Forte/Sudekis potato chip sketch from last season.

Slyde/Paticus - Like I said, I kinda cheated on SNL. Because I still watch it on NetFlix in FF, but at least it's off my DVR schedule. That's something, right?

I still record How I Met Your Mother and then if there is nothing else on tv I'll watch it, but at least if it's brutal I can fast forward or delete it. The delet process is very satisfying.

Also, I gave Shit My Dad says ten minutes of my attention. I watch the frist show until the first ocmmercial break and then I said NO. No. no. Delete!

The only show I watch from your list is SNL. I'll always watch that show, I think. I mean, at least if it sucks, it sucks LIVE.

I totally get where you're coming from with Glee. I tried. Heaven knows I tried. I forced myself to watch, and sing along, and laugh. But I just don't get it. And I won't put myself through that again. I wont!

I love Glee. And I'm a recent convert to HIMYM and I think Ted is a great foil for the rest of the group.

I'll watch SNL forever - I know how hard it is to come up with something funny all the time, and I think that filling 90 minutes a week with material that may or may not work is a challenge I like to support, even if sometimes I groan.

HIMYM: I just channel out Ted. Everyone else is great, especially Lilly and Marshall's baby escapades of late.

Speaking of Ted, I miss Better Off Ted but that whole Wed ABC comedy lineup is pretty good.

Glee - I tried a few eps last year and just never found it interesting or entertaining, outside of Sue's rants. And, honestly, the music is just karaoke. You like Madonna? Just buy her albums.

SNL: Yeah, even the Jon Hamm ep was lame last week (last year's was classic) though, I think the Vincent Price Halloween Party sketches, which they've done before, should be a weekly feature. Especially disappointing has been Kristen Wiig. She just kinda does the same mousy character over and over now.

Suzi - 10 minutes of that crap was too much.

Savannah - Well, i watch none of the ones on this list...anymore. ;)

Sybil - I never watched it live anyway.

Olivia - Glee escapes me. And I generally like musicals.

Avitable - SNL just misses way more than it hits these days. Catching the good skits online the following week is just easier for me.

Uncool - Yeah, I used to really like Wiig. Now I just FF through her skits.

DUDE ! I've never watched ANY of those shows (except SNL, of course), and I only catch SNL after I've heard they actually had a good skit or two on the show.

Heff - yeah, I'm a bit of a tv freak. But I don't watch them anymore...
