Tuna and egg salad (mayo, salt, pepper, dill) on toasted English Muffin (sandwich size) with potato and celery soup (dill as well) and Salt & Vinegar potato chips.
Chased down with an ice cold Dr. Pepper and followed with a slice of NY cheesecake.
Best comfort food meal ever or best comfort food meal ever?
You decide.

i just ate my weight in meat at avitable's birthday dinner. love those all i can eat meat brazilian joints. anyhow, i can't even think about food. i'm slipping into a food coma right about now...
Becky - I hate those joints. They always come around with the crap first and it is only after a long time that they get to the good stuff. Plus the tasty buffet. You need to have discipline at those joints. Something I sorely lack when I am hungry.
Anyway, I love English muffins. With anything. Also, I always read MovieGrenade. I just don't comment because you usually reiterate the feeling that I have that the movie you just reviewed sucked and that it was good thing I didn't bother watching it.
Faiqa - oh I didn't really care if anyone read the reviews. I was just pointing out my shiny new link tab on the top of the header pic. THAT'S what I am proud of. Not the shitty reviews of bad movies. ;)
Seeing that picture of Thomas's English Muffins gave me such a jolt of nostalgic longing. I used to love them with butter. And like anything I'm deprived of that I like, it has grown to mythic proportions in my mind.
That is a great comfort food meal!!! For sure!
Let me just add some more OK?
Mac & Cheese, home made of course!!! Period!!!
AND
Grilled cheese on said Thomas english muffins.
For me, its all about the cheesy goodness!!!!
I am off to read some movie reviews now!!!!
i dont think i could eat that...
except for the S&V chips..
MikeB - English muffins with butter. Sometimes simple food is the best.
Michelle - I make a supreme mac and cheese, by the way.
Slyde - You don't like tuna?
That sounds amazingly delicious!
i'm back. now i can think about food clearly.
my comfort food is a grilled cheese sammich with a big ole bowl of tomato soup. i can practically feel mom's arms around me when i have that meal.
I'm questioning the addition of "dill".
Paige - and it was!
Becky - That combo has always worked for me too.
Heff - Question it all you want, brother. But dill rocks!!!
English muffins are under-rated, especially when there's egg, cheese and bacon on them. My comfort food is probably a McDonald's Cheeseburger and a Milkshake.
English Muffins are awesome, however tuna is stinky. Change it to chicken and I am all about that.
O.G. - I love me a McDonald's cheeseburger. It isn't a real burger, mind you. Still love 'em.
Ookami - I've never been into chicken salad. It's okay, but tuna is divine!
My latest comfort food "go to" is Claim Jumper's tri-tip dip with a size of fried zucchini, followed by scratch carrot cake.
Lets just say that your idea of comfort food and my idea are vastly different. Mine usually involves Alfredo Sauce and some sort of pasts........or sushi.
I once read a celebrity quoted as saying that her favorite comfort food was fresh avacado slices on saltine crackers with lemon juice on top-to which I laughed at most heartily. Until I tried it.
Spaghetti and meatballs does the trick for me every time.
Hilly - wow. Zucchini and carrot cake. We. Are. So. Different. ;)
Bruce - I'm with you on the pasta, but it usually is a fra diavlo or puttanesca sauce. Maybe arribiata. No alfredo for me, thanks.
Candy - that avocado snack sounds delish!
Hard to argue with what you're throwin' down here Earl. The thing I find interesting is the combination of items. Individually, I love all of these things. Therefore, I can only imagine that they would mix quite well.
Additionally, got me thinking about what I turn to in times of strife. And I realized that when I am grief stricken, I don't eat at all. Hardly healthy, and no way for a man to behave, but that is just what happens. Manorexia Nervosa.
Lastly, I love shoving my condiments into both Thomas' nooks and crannies. That fucker has it coming to him!
WLC - He does have yummy nooks and crannies, doesn't he? I see by using condiments that you are practicing safe noshing. Ba dum dum.
I've never tried tuna and egg salad together before. Very interesting. I like both though so I could see it working. English muffins are always yummy. But I have to draw the line at Dr. Pepper. I need me a Pepsi or to make my own cheat version of ginger ale. ;) Salt 'n' Vinegar chips are the best. Thanks. Now I am craving them. Nuts. I'm drooling like Pavlov's dog.
Teeni - I use one large can or packet of tuna and one egg. So mostly tuna, with a little bit of egg. It's delish!
Thomas's English Muffins are great. I grew up on those in Southern Calif. Each one of those nooks and crannys fits it's own little pool of butter...
Ok, between your post and Avitable's bacon post, I need breakfast now!
Nothing I like better than muffin and crumpet.
I wish we had English muffins right now so I could make my bacon and cheese with mayo English muffin sammies.
