Yeah, I'm pretty much up to here with it now. Starting to look like freakin' Alaska around here these days.
Still lots of work to do. |
At least we've got Taco Doritos in retro bags for a little while. Small consolation. They aren't the same as the original Taco Doritos from my youth, but they will do in a pinch. I guess.

it IS starting to look like Alaska around here...
I can see Russia from my house!
I am loving the snow - but I don't shovel. :)
I hate taco Doritos. Thank God I'm well stocked with all kinds of other goodness (including alcohol. Oh nice! Liquid lunch!)!
Hey, there's those retro Taco Doritos. But as you said here and over on my post, they are not quite the same as the original taste.
And thanks for the reminder from the 2009 post you did on these. Amazing how attached we are to classic snack foods.
We're -20 wind chill here ourselves. Snow is frozen solid. Pointless to try and shovel. Wife is away so all there is to do is sit around inside and drink, play with the Wii and read.
Life is just very hard sometimes...
Slyde - did you just invoke the Palin? Good God, man...
Sybil - I'm stocked up on booze too. It's gonna be an interesting evening.
Marty - A buddy of mine actually calls Frito-Lay every couple of months to discuss the Taco Doritos situation. He has them on speed dial.
RW - Sounds like a perfect weekend. And we are getting some of that really cold weather the next couple of days. That's why I made sure I got the shoveling done right away.
They are bringing them back in non-retro packaging, but I agree -- they are not the same. Definitely milder, sweeter -- less of the chili powder/cumin bite than the originals.
