Holly Hunter

I've got a weird love/hate thing going on with Holly Hunter. Or it has veered from love to hate back to love again over the years. Something like that. Loved her in Broadcast News, but hated her for breaking Albert Brooks' heart. Hated her in The Piano, but loved the fact that I didn't have to her her talk. Loved her again in Home for the Holidays, but hated her when she refused to punch her stupid sister in her stupid twat!

Now I love her again. This time in Saving Grace. And I have Gia to thank for that. She just recently turned me on to it in its second season. Normally I can't stand those preachy "religion is gonna save the wicked sinner" shows, but this one isn't very preachy. I like her "angel" and I really like her dog. And dog spelled another way is ogd, or something like that.

Her character reminds me a little of Denis Leary's character in Rescue Me. The show is pretty similar too. He talks to dead people and lost someone close in 9/11. She talks to an angel and lost someone close in the Oklahoma City bombing. Both drink (or did drink) and fuck around. One is a cop, the other is a firefighter. Strong supporting casts. Very similar.

Last Thursday we went to this cool BBQ joint in NYC and we spoke with one of the managers. He told us one of his more famous customers is Holly Hunter. He said she was tiny and gorgeous in person. I can believe it.

Random Wiki: Ankazomboron, besides being one of the most bad-ass words I have ever typed, is a town in Madagascar. It's also a commune. Bunch of long-haired hippie types. Wait...I have long hair now. Crap!

Michelle - I've been meaning to give The Closer a shot as well, but I don't watch very many shows during the summer. Actually, I watch only one. Saving Grace.

Slyde - She's been asking about you, dude.

Holly Hunter is one of the only old chicks that I love. I think it started with "A Life Less Ordinary".

Avitable - I didn't really like that movie, but yeah...she can be yummy.

I have loved Holly Hunter for a long time. Those recent commercials for her TV show has made my wife take notice.

She says things like, "I wish I looked like that."

All I keep thinking, "I'd like to watch my wife and Holly Hunter get it on."

Yeah, I know. Typical. :)

ajooja - she drinks and whores around a lot in the show, too. Bonus! Plus it's TNT so we get to see her naked from behind a lot. A bit too bony and muscular for me, but not bad.

I think she is another one of those women who is not a great beauty but knows how to put her best face forward. Plus she has a great tiny figure at her age. I'm jealous!

Hey, she slept around Hollywood enough to get an Oscar....show the woman some respect!

How many men would you sleep with to get a little golden statue?

I loved her in the Piano...she was the ideal woman....she never opened her mouth. Talk about fantasy.

Loved her since Raising Arizona.

Teeni - yeah, and weird that I like her because I don't normally like "tiny".

Lotus - I would sleep with a whole arena filled with men if it got me an Oscar. I just wouldn't have sex with them. ;)

AK - Ooooh, good one. Go back in there and get me a toddler!

Maybe It's just my Texan coming out but I really have to wonder about NYC BBQ as much as I would a Muleshoe, Texas Broadway Show.

Evyl - The great thing about NYC is the food from all over the place. Texas chefs bring their BBQ to the Big Apple to share with us Yankees. But I would agree that comparing NYC bbq to Texas (or North Carolina) bbq is foolish. Like comparing Texas pizza to NYC pizza. Nu uh!
