Anywho...it was hot as balls today. Don't believe me? Just check out the title of this post. It's right there.
We don't have a pool, because...well, our backyard really can't handle one. It's about 35 feet from our back door to the harbor shore and it's uneven ground right above the water table. Too low for an in-ground pool and too uneven (and smallish) for an above ground pool. Those suck anyway.
Don't get me wrong. I love living where we do. The view is gorgeous especially around sunset. Tonight we enjoyed some cold beers on the lawn and some grilled hot dogs and french fries inside (in the AC) afterward. It was all right.
But a pool would be nice.

I'd tell you to go to Slyde's, but he's already cooling off his schwetty balls in front of the neighbors.
Steph - ;)
i'm sure slydes neighbors would mind if you joined him...hell invite a few more sets of schwetty balls and make it a party
like that would be the FIRST time ive seen your balls..........
wait, what?
I agree Above Ground Pools Suck! I wish it was hot here because I'm jealous you get to grill out! I can still drink the beer part tho in the cold!
Happy Wednesday!

That Pete Scweddy is REALLY getting in to the marketing game, isn't he ?
Steph said what I was going to say.
We are too in the city with too small a yard to have a pool, too. Sucks! I understand your pain. At least you're near the shore, though.
Now I will be whining all day.
:)
Our yard is big enough for a pool, but my wife seems to have some attachment for the grassy area.
sometimes i wish we had a pool, and then i remember in The Skatch, it's only nice for - like, ten days out of the year... the rest of the 355 days we're under 5 feet of snow.
I'm begining to wonder if there is anyone out there in the blogospher. Maybe they're all at the pool instead...
I have absolutely no excuse for not having a pool in my backyard.
Well, I mean, ya know - besides the money.
my yard is large enough for a pool, but i prefer the grass for throwing the ball for the pups. although i will totally admit that i bought a plastic baby pool that is about a foot deep. great for soaking my feet while i drink beer in my adirondack chair as the dogs lay in the shallow water to cool off. i highly recommend you spend the eight bucks on the plastic baby pool and enjoy the redneck life!
2abes - Slyde would just love to have a bunch of nekkid men over for a pool party.
Slyde - hey now!
Jenn - It's cold there this time of year? Wow!
Heff - You'll love his Schwetty balls.
Zibbs - she did that for me on Slyde's site yesterday.
Sybil - Being on the water is great, but a pool would be exceptional.
Marty - Can you trade the wife in for an in-ground? I kid, I kid! ;)
Diva - you need one of them indoor pools for the rest of the year. Heated, natch!
Rabbit - Summer is a slow time for the blogosphere.
Britt - yeah, but you can take a dip in Adam's pool during lunchtime. Right? :)
Becky - Been there, done that, bought that redneck pool. ;)
Spoken by someone that has never had to maintain a pool, figure out pH balance or skim leaves.....they are like a blond trophy wife....high maintenance and only marginally satisfying in the long haul.
Bruce - yeah...I would need someone to do all that for me as well. I think I need to win the lottery.
Wait, what about yesterday? It was so hot it made me physically ill until this morning after a soda.
Poppy - I meant yesterday. I wrote the post last night with a posting date of midnight. Yeah...it was fucking hot!
