Karaoke Turkey

That would be me. And the rest of my extended family.

After a sumptuous feast on Thanksgiving Day we break out the karaoke software, hook a few computers together with the sound system and we have a good 'ole time singing to the hits.  First the kids until around 9:30PM or so, and then we adults take over.  This year we cut the festivities off early and we were done by 2AM.  : )

I did a couple of solos to start things off. "Folsom Prison Blues" by Johnny Cash and "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" by The Charlie Daniels Band. I don't know why, but I tend to go real country whenever I karaoke. The rock stuff is too hard to sing, I guess. Or maybe, like Marie Osmond, I'm a little bit country after all.  But I dance better.  Naturally.

One of the highlights was a silly duet (kinda) of the song down below that I did with a dude who smells like a wet dog.  Oh, and his duet with my Gia on "If I Close My Eyes Forever" by Lita Ford and Ozzy Osbourne.  That one rocked.

Hope y'all had a great Thanksgiving weekend.  And for those of you outside of the US, I hope your plain old ordinary weekend was almost as wonderful.

Kiki - I prefer someone who can actually, ya know, sing to help me out up there. I'm a big fan of deferring.

Avitable - But you will video yourself dancing and/or lip syncing, right? ;)

Doggie - The keyword of the evening. :)

Exactly! For comedy reasons. But my singing isn't funny. It's just painful and horrible.

Also not a karaoke fan. But you must have a deep voice, huh, to pull off those songs?
LOVE the Foo Fighters. And Johnny Cash.

im not surprised that "toes" was the word of the evening, what with your foot fetish and all....

and how come you didnt sing "Come Monday"? Oh yeah, thats because we both saw someone once do it much better.....

Avitable - One person's pain is another's pleasure, or so my dominatrix says.

Sybil - My talking voice isn't very low, but I can bring the baritone on occasion in song. The falsetto too, but only in the shower.

Slyde - Yeah, I should do a post about my foot fetish one of these days. And by "my foot fetish" I mean "your foot fetish", of course. And there is the "Come Monday" comment I predicted. Well done, sir!

Becky - I hate karaoke in crowded bars. But in front of a couple of dozen friends and family? Love it!

I'm sure your duet on Thanksgiving was nice. But...the best one I ever witnessed...was this one time...at a bar with a black awning...around 4am...two dudes howling this song...face of a lass...top of their lungs...sober...zombie...toes.

Doggie - That other one does sound nice, but I don't really recall it all that well. ;)

El Duderino - There wasn't a video camera in sight. Thankfully.
