Pozterisk (PAHZ-tur-isk), noun. An aside that has nothing whatsoever to do with anything but is thrown into the middle of the story because the author thinks it’s funny.See? He named it after himself because of his extremely heavy use of them. So anyways, here was Joe's Pozterisk about Bewitched:
*My daughters have taken a sudden liking to the show "Bewitched." And it reminds me of something that has always bothered me -- was Darrin insane? I say yes. He had a wife that looked like Elizabeth Montgomery and could do pretty much unlimited magic. She constantly wanted to use that magic to HELP him. And he basically yelled at her a lot and told her to STOP using that magic and become a suburban housewife? Huh? … The question goes double for Larry Hagman in "I Dream Of Jeannie?"
I've always thought the same thing. Fools.

Alls I know is.....If I had Babara Eden, I'd have NEVER PUT ON PANTS, OR LEFT THE HOUSE.....
Happy New Year, "Earl".
Darin was a wanker. Both of him.
Hellz yes - they were all insane!!
insane or stupid.
Heff - Amen!
SK - The "Darrin" switch was one of the oddest things in TV ever.
Sybil - in the membrane!
Becky - Gotta be insane. The most dim-witted male on the planet would have enjoyed those women more than they did.
One can only wish to have the "wiggle nose" powers... the things I can make men do...ummmmm
ok, im trying to rememeber where they title quote is from.. its pissine me off...
Maybe it's the feminist in me, but I always saw the rampant ridiculousness of those two shows as a metaphor for the more general problem in society at the time of men not wanting women to escape the 1950's housewife role to enter the workforce.
The "magical" talents of women had to be suppressed so the men could maintain their power and their self-image of superiority while requiring the women to stay home and do traditional housewifey things, regardless whether the men would have benefitted more by allowing the women to be themselves and do what they did best.
The shows merely highlighted the stupidity of maintaining such a rigid status quo, in a funny /ridiculous sort of way.
I mean, really, I've always thought that, too -- how insane was it that Darrin didn't want Samantha to magically clean the house and come up with all his ad campaigns in two seconds flat so they could spend all their days and nights magically traveling to cool places and/or "makin' bacon"?
Heff-bwahhahahahahah!!!
Legal-the councilor makes an excellent argument.
Earl-I just forwarded the article to My Guy. He will lap that sh*t right up.
