Lunch

OK, it's a crappy pic taken from my cell phone, but how about this smorgasbord for a nice sour lunch?
  • A garlic dill pickle
  • 2 pickled red-hot eggs
  • 1 pickled red-hot polish sausage
  • A bag of Utz Salt 'n Vinegar chips
  • An ice-cold PBR
Makes your mouth water, doesn't it?

Both the pickled eggs and the pickled sausage are fantastic, by the way.  The pickled sausage slightly more so.  I can see it won't be a problem, um, disposing of the contents of those jars.

And how about some more kitty pictures?

Sammi and Avery enjoying an afternoon nap on the bed. He was mostly laying on top of her.

Wolowitz deciding that he prefers the blue laundry basket to the green one.

And for the record, I didn't really eat all the stuff in the photo up there for lunch even though I easily could.  Gia ate the sausage (hey-oooo!) and one of the eggs.  I chopped the other egg and put it in a tuna salad and I ate the pickle (hey-ooooo again!).  The chips remained uneaten and the PBR...well, of course I drank the PBR.  C'mon!

I love pickles, and boiled eggs, but keep those chips and that sausage away from me! (Not into salt and I am uber picky about sausage. That's what she said!)
Love the random kitty pics. :)

I am not a fan of sour foods.

You know what's awesome about food like that? Nobody has to pay the mortician to preserve you when you die. Oh, Earl, that's what I like about you, always thinking of others.

My BP and cholesterol ache for you.

Sybil - the chips and the sausage might best things in the pic. Well, the beer...

Avitable - I wasn't born with a sweet tooth. Mine is sour.

Faiqa - Mr. Magnanimous. :)

Uncool - you mean this stuff can be bad for me? ;)

So, the eggs were good? What did they taste like?

I had a lean pocket for lunch, it was whole grain with chicken and spinach. And a diet pepsi, and some toostie rolls. Not too bad for a quick lunch.

And PBR eh?

well, carry on . . . :)

Holly - the eggs were basically what I thought they were gonna be. Vinegary goodness! And PBR rules!

What brand are the sausages?

And are you drinking at work?

Verdant Earl said...

Zibbs - the sausage are from a pickled food company called Long Lake Specialty Foods. They are frickin' awesome! And I mostly work from home. So the odd beer at lunch doesn't bother me at all. It's the whisky that can cause problems! ;(

Heff - I always come out smelling like a rose. Or the manure you grow them in. One or the other.

Jenn - my taste in beer runs the gamut from cheap to expensive. As long as it is good. And PBR = good. Unlike, ahem...Bud Light, fer instance. ;)

I love Utz. I love salt & vinegar. I love dill pickles.

I love your kittehs.

Poppy said...

OOh, I meant to also say: I've never had PBR.

Verdant Earl said...

Poppy - the PBR is a thing. Some folks get it, others...not so much.

Yeah, NO!

Not a good lunch at all Earl! What were you thinking with that combo? How about some pickled tofu??
