Fetch!

So one of our cats kinda thinks that he's a dog.  Wolowitz can spend hours playing fetch with a paper ball.  He won't do it with real cat toys, but for some reason he loves a paper ball more than life itself.  Makes a little sense because his next favorite thing is a cardboard box.

He's an odd cat.

So here is a little film we produced that allows Wolowitz (or Dr. Wu, as he is known in some circles) to showcase his canine-esque retrieval skills.  Enjoy!

Yeah, might have been a good idea to clean up Gia's workspace a little before recording this.  Ah, who cares?  Let's just call it a lived-in look and move on.

It's the soundtrack that makes it.

Meanwhile our new rescue cat barely acknowledges our existence.

I love him!! My cat does that, too - does Wolowitz like milk rings, too?

The Good Doctor. Always watching. Always judging.

Our cat fetches, too! Very cool!

Limpy - Wolowitz is a rescue cat, but we got him when he was a little kitten.

Sybil - I dunno. Mostly because I have no clue what a milk ring is. I shall check it out.

Doggie - Always figuring things out.

Paticus - Very cool! I didn't know cats could do that!

um, what are your thoughts on the mcqwire news?

Verdant Earl said...

Holly - Seriously? Don't even get me started on that guy! He should be called The Whopper instead of Big Mac, because of all the lies he has told. And because his theme should be "Have it your way" when it comes to talking about steroids and HGH. What a douche!

So I guessing you were unmoved by the tears?

Verdant Earl said...

Holly - those are tears of "Wah...I haven't been voted into the Hall of Fame yet so I should probably come clean. Or at least say enough so that it seems like I've come clean." Don't believe them for a second.

Savannah - I ruined a perfectly good and clever possible blog post by using the Whopper/Big Mac thing in a comment. Durn! ;)

Wolowitz rocks! Such a beauty.

I just started some wheat grass seeds for mine, by the way.. (damn, the year goes by fast.)

And on yet a third topic (because I could give a rat's ass about over paid baseball players), do you love the Flip? It's on my wish list... Is it totally easy?

Wolowitz is a cute cat and that's a cute name! Love it.
My sons cat is like a dog too - he has the furball trained to lay down on command. The cat will cry and turn a little circle and look all cute for a second and then my son says DOWN again and he cries one more time and then flops down. This works like 89% of the time! It's cute.

I'm always very aware of the background stuff when I take pics. I'm worried the internet will find out what slobs we are.

Kate - the flip is great! And you can't tell from that video (because I'm only using Vimeo's free service) is that everything is in HD. So easy to use. So easy to download. So easy to create movies. So easy. I highly recommend one.

Kaylen - I find it's easier to make excuses and blame Gia than to actually clean up the joint. ;)

weird, i hadn't thought about that, that he was shading or ommitting the truth. but. I've looked at some photos of this guy and um, really, there is no way that is normal muscle growth. I mean, come on.

does they test for steriods nowadays?

Slyde said...

i still cant believe that you own damn cats.. i never thought id see the day.

Verdant Earl said...

Holly - yes they does. :) But they don't test for HGH because it requires a blood test. So the system ain't all fixed.

Verdant Earl said...

Slyde - I've always loved cats, but I just used to be so damned allergic to them. Nowadays? Not so much.

That's pretty sweet. If we ever get a newer, younger cat, I'm going to have to teach it to do something like that.

Verdant Earl said...

Marty - Because you can't teach an old cat new dog tricks, right?

But can he roll over and play dead?
